2024 Dulles Spring Convention Optional Tour to Air and Space Museum

For those not judging, clerking, or otherwise helping with the daffodil show we are offering an optional half-day tour of the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport which is the companion facility to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of historically significant air and spacecraft, including the space capsule Challenger, along with thousands of small artifacts, are on display in an open, hangar-like setting. Other features of the Center include the Donald D. Engen Observation Tower, the Airbus IMAX Theater, and the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar, where visitors can watch museum specialists at work restoring artifacts. The museum has its own cafeteria, so lunch is on your own. The fee to attend is to cover transportation to and from the facility.
