This issue seemed to focus mostly on Daffodils. And, in the usual RHS sense of current trends and fashions, has articles on extending bloom season for Daffodils. There is an article on late blooming Daffodils by Dave Hardy, early fall blooming Daffodils by Harold Koopowitz as well as a nice article by Graham Fleming on micro miniatures. There is also a article on Division 5’s by Jim Gibson, touring the Winterthur’s Garden and finally a nice essay on poeticus var. recurvus.

Snowdrops have again a great article on a compilation of various Galanthus cultivars, extending the bloom season (a local collector and ADS member Roger Beckman has begun collecting some of these and it is exciting), as well as a nice article on some premier Snowdrop gardens.

I’m always drawn to the species travel trips for Tulips. These Near Eastern excursions are always enticing as well as educational. The RHS has kept the theme of this issue by talking about both early and late blooming Tulips.
